Thursday night's game is without a doubt the most important game of the season for the Halifax Hurricanes.
Trailing the London Lightning 3-2 in the National Basketball League of Canada Finals, the Hurricanes have returned home for the must-win Game 6.
There's reason to be optimistic, however. So far this series has favoured the home teams in each and the Hurricanes were dominant in Scotiabank Centre for Games 1 and 2 in front of their loud, passionate Halifax fans.
Bruising forward Watson is leading the team in scoring this series with 23.4 points per game on better than 54% shooting. He's rounding that out with 9.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.
Billy White is averaging 21.2 points per game and is shooting 50% from beyond the three-point arc, forcing the London defence to send coverage.
Antoine Mason continues to get hot and score points in bunches, while averaging 22.6 points per game in the series, he's also shooting his best three-point percentage of the season per 40 minutes at 36.6%.
On the defensive end of the court, Hurricanes big man Rhamel Brown has been a monster. Twice in this series, he set a record for blocks per game in the NBLC Finals. He rejected six Lightning shots in Game 2 to set the new record and then broke it the next game when he sent seven shots back. On top of that, he's averaging a double-double this month with 11.4 points and better than 10 rebounds per game.
The Hurricanes need two wins to bring home their second NBLC Championship. Winning Thursday would force a Game 7 on Friday evening.
Make sure you cheer loud and help your Halifax Hurricanes on their quest to hoist the trophy on their home court!
