Winning on the road is tough. Winning the second game of a back-to-back on the road is harder, but the Hurricanes toughed it out.
The night after losing a tough one in Charlottetown, the Hurricanes beat the Saint John Riptide 102-93 at Harbour Station.
The Hurricanes entered halftime down by five, came out of the break and outscored the hometown Riptide 58-44 in the second half.
After an off game on Thursday night, Hurricanes forward Billy White bounced back with 24 points and eight rebounds to lead the Hurricanes to the win.
Mason and Ta'Quan Zimmerman were hot from beyond the arc. Mason was a perfect three for three while Zimmerman didn't miss on his four threes.
Next week, the Hurricanes will head to St. John's to try some Newfoundland hospitality for the first time where they will play the Edge in back-to-back games on Tuesday, Mar. 6 and Wednesday, Mar. 7.
