A late-game surge wasn't enough to put the Halifax Hurricanes over the top on Saturday night.
The Hurricanes fell to the Windsor Express 108-94 at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, Ontario.
After giving up 31 points to the Express in the second quarter, the Hurricanes upped their scoring throughout the second half, but in the end it wasn't enough to stop the Express, who were led by veteran National Basketball League of Canada player Logan Stutz, who had 30 points for the night to go with 8 rebounds.
The Hurricanes effort was primarily fueled by great scoring off the bench. The second unit poured in 58 points on Saturday.
The Hurricanes jump right back into action tomorrow against their Ontario rivals and defending NBLC London Lightning in London at 3 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time.
