Clinkscales and Poole Return to Canes Roster

Halifax, (NS) – The Halifax Hurricanes, defending 2017 NBLC Atlantic Conference Champions, announce the re-signing of Cliff Clinkscales and Mike Poole.
Poole, a 6’5, 194 lbs. forward from Queens, New York, averaged 11 points and 5 rebounds in his rookie season and will be returning to the Hurricanes expecting to have a bigger role in his sophomore year in the NBLC. With an impressive 509 point performance in his first season, he was named to the NBL Canada All-Rookie Team.
Clinkscales, a 6’0, 184 lbs. point guard hailing from Queens, New York as well, will be returning for his fifth season in Halifax. Widely regarded as one of the premier point guards in the NBL Canada, Clinkscales’ veteran leadership and knowledge of the game are invaluable assets both on and off the court. Last season he was named to the NBL Canada All-Playoff and Second All NBL Canada Teams. An integral part of the Hurricanes core, the captain will be looking to return his squad to the NBLC Finals for redemption at the National title this season.
The National Basketball League of Canada’s 2017-18 regular season will tipoff on November 18, 2017.
